This 1929 Dodge DA Phaeton has been restored in the 1980's, the paint, trim and chrome are in good order as is the hood and side curtains. The engine and brakes have been rebuilt recently, it runs and drives very well. The first owner was Mr Little from Claremont (near Mckay in Queensland), and only 2 owners since! This car has been in the Mckay area all its life. The DA was the first model Dodge produced by Chrysler after their takeover in 1928, it has a robust side valve 6 cylinder 21.6 hp engine and a 3 speed centre change gearbox. The Dodge DA was amongst the first American cars with 4 wheel hydraulic brakes and rubber engine mountings.This car is an older restoration with plenty of patina, the DA Dodge was known as a strong reliable performer, an excellent rally car.
