This rare 1947 Alvis TA14 Drophead Coupe was fully restored 30+ years ago, it has covered only 6,500 miles since. The restoration included completely rebuilding the engine, gearbox, differential, suspension, hood, upholstery and paint. Fitted with its original Lucas "Prince of Darkness" lights, Jaeger instruments and correct SU Carburettor. In 1947 The Alvis TA14 was a high quality hand built car, Alvis built this model from 1946-1950, only 3,200 of this model were made and around 400 with this body type, it has a 1840cc OHV 4 cylinder engine and a 4 speed centre change gearbox, with a sporty performance for a car of this type, it runs and drives very well. Although the paintwork, trim, hood, and chrome are in good order, it now shows a suitable amount of patina.The beautifully proportioned Alvis TA14 DHC is a rare quality car and a great investment.
