This rare Factory right hand drive Detomaso Pantera GTS was imported to Australia new in 1974 and has had 1 Adelaide owner since 1977, its entire history is known. Rarely used, only 23,000 km recorded, we believe this to be the original mileage. This car has not been molested or modified since it was new, it remains in very good original condition. The Detomaso Pantera was designed by Tom Tyaarda, the body by Ghia, built in Modena, Italy and initially financed by Ford and mainly sold thru Lincoln/Mercury dealers in the US from 1971-1974, Ford discontinued its involvment in 1975, Detomaso continued production of the Pantera in small numbers until 1991. The Pantera has a steel monocoque construction with a mid mounted 351ci 4v Ford Cleveland engine (similar to the famous Falcon GTHO Phase 3) and a ZF 5 speed transaxle, 4 wheel power assisted disc brakes and rack and pinion steering.
