This 1947 MG Y Type Sedan is a genuine numbers matching car that has had a recent front end collision. The engine has not been damaged and runs well, the front suspension does not appear to have been damaged, the forward chassis members have been bent where they attach to the bumper bar, they are easily repairable. With the car are most of the items required for the repair, including radiator, complete grille, headlights, both front mudguards and radiator support pannel. Before the accident this was a good older restoration, the past owner tells me the engine had recently been rebuilt as have the brakes and it drove beautifully. The MG Y Type has a 1250 cc 4 cylinder engine similar to an MGTC and a 4 speed centre change gearbox, great fun to drive. This car will not take much to put back on the road, a very affordable and worth while project.
