This "frightfully British" 1948 Rover P3 "Six Light" Saloon is in wonderful condition, the paintwork, chrome, engine compartment, wheels and tyres etc are excellent, the original leather trim is wonderful. This car has a complete known history from new, supplied with its first owner sales certificate, instruction manual and original tool kit, even has a working rear blind. It has covered only 48,000 miles! The gearbox, clutch, brakes and suspension have been fully rebuilt, it runs and drives beautifully. Fitted with a factory sliding sun roof, large Lucas "Prince od Darkness" headlights and wonderful Jaeger instruments. This car was a special order from the factory with LARGER 17inch wheels and full leather trim. It is possibly the only Rover P3 "Special" surviving in this original colour. The Rover P3 has a 2.1 litre 6 cylinder engine with a 4 speed centre change gearbox with freewheeling hub and independent front suspension (quite advanced for it's time).This very well restored Rover P3 is "on the button" and has plenty of character, a great rally car.
