This 1926 Rugby Type M Tourer has been fully restored to a high standard around 25 yrs ago, it has not been used since. The paint, trim, hood, side curtains, wheels and tyres, engine compartment etc are all in excellent condition, it runs and drives extra well. The Rugby was produced by the Durant Motor Company. William Durant was the founder of General Motors in 1908, his involvement with GM ceased in 1920, in 1921 he formed the Durant Motor Company, it remained in business until 1935. Durant produced the Star, Locomobille, Flint and Rugby cars. The 1926 Rugby Type M has a Continental 18.3hp side valve "L" head 4 cylinder engine and a 3 speed centre change gearbox.A lovely vintage rally car. It is not possible to restore a vintage car to this high standard for anything near the asking price.
