Matchless G11 Motorcycle with Sidecar
Matchless G11 Motorcycle with Sidecar
This awesome 1956 Matchless G11 600cc twin cylinder with Tilbrook Sidecar is in great order, it was restored some years ago, recent mechanical work includes new clutch, piston rings and valves, the tyres are also new, it runs very well. The Matchless G11 was the first model produced by AMC, similar to the AJS model 30, it has a vertical twin cylinder 592cc engine with 33 bhp and a 4 speed gearbox, capable of around 95mph (not with the sidecar!), the G11 was built from 1955/59 and was known as being more reliable than the 650cc replacement. The period sidecar I am told was built by Tilbrook in Adelaide. The Matchless G11 is one of the best sounding of the British twins of the period, more torque than the earlier 500 and more reliable than the 650 replacement. A great investment
