This excellent 1949 Standard Vanguard Phase 1 Sedan has had a body off ground up restoration a few years ago. The paint, leather trim, chrome, engine compartment and wheels and tyres all present very well, it runs and drives beautifully. The 1949 Standard Vanguard has a 4 cylinder 2088cc ohv engine with a 3 speed column change gearbox and overdrive on both second and top gears,it has an excellent open road cruising ability and fuel economy.This is a fine example, impossible to restore one for anywhere near the asking price, a great investment.
