$0.00
This immaculate 1950 Vauxhall Velox Caleche Roadster we believe has covered only 60200 miles from new, and is in excellent original condition, it is probably the most original example surviving. The paintwork, trim, hood & side curtains and chrome are great, under the bonnet is as it left the factory, and it runs and drives beautifully. The Caleche model was built only in Australia by General Motors using Vauxhall mechanical components and an all Australian 5 seat convertible body. Only a few of this model were built as GM production was centred around the all new 48/215 (FX) Holden. The Vauxhall Caleche was available with 2 engines, a 4 cylinder Wyvern model and the more desirable Velox 6 cylinder. The Velox has a 2275cc 6 cylinder engine with around 54bhp and a 3 speed column change gearbox, "Dubonet" style independent front suspension and good hydraulic brakes, with a top speed of around 74 mph, it was known as a good reliable car with excellent ride and economyA practical way to enjoy classic motoring, this is a rare model only made for the Australian market, only a few survive, this example is in amazing original condition.
