I stand to be corrected but I believe that this 1928 example is the oldest Ford A surviving in Australia (engine number CAW 9075). This remarkable 1928 Ford A Tudor has been in the same family for almost 80 years, Its first owner was William Rowe who purchased it from Broadway Motors in Sydney (it was the first one sold in NSW and probably Australia). William Rowe passed it down to his son, William Beddow Rowe, who in turn passed it on to his son, Alan Rowe. Alan and his new wife, Melba, drove it to Ganolan Caves for their honeymoon many years ago. It has been in the family for 3 generations but, as the last of the family has passed on, the car was given to a friend for safe keeping and has now become available for sale. The faded paintwork is mainly original and the trim is a little untidy, but it is exceptionally original and shows a wonderful patina! It drives beautifully.
