This beautiful 1927/1928 Ford Model AR Dickey Seat Roadster has had a high quality restoration in the 1970's. It was one of the first produced, and quite possibly the oldest Model A in Australia.(this is very rare in Ford A circles as over 12 million of this model were built between 1927-1931!) ,importantly it is a genuine Right Hand Drive example. The paintwork, trim ,chrome, hood , engine compartment all present well, it runs and drives beautifully as it should. Features include, Boyce Motometer, side wind deflectors, chrome luggage rack, running board treads and white wall tyres. The Ford Model A has a 4 cylinder 24hp side valve engine and a 3 speed centre change gearbox with strong 4 wheel mechanical brakes.The Ford Model A has a very good reputation as a strong and reliable vintage car with an excellent performance. This rare early example would now be classed as an older restoration, great patina, in my opinion an excellent rally car.
