This 1929 Hudson Super Six "Greater Hudson" Standard sedan has been nicely restored a few years ago from a complete car. It is fitted with an original American Murphy Sedan body with 6 wheel equiptment, correct Parabeam Headlights,twin Brown Bilite tail lights, luggage rack, trunk and has been converted to 12 volts for convenience. An original sales brochure , copy's of the instruction book and parts manual as well as it's registration papers from 1934 accompany the car. The paint, chrome, interior and engine compartment present well, it runs and drives beautifully. The 1929 Hudson Super Six has a substantial 288ci, 29.4hp 6 cylinder engine with overhead inlet valves and a counter balanced crankshaft (much less vibration than most others of its time), coupled to a 3 speed centre change gearbox, good 4 wheel mechanical brakes and hydraulic shock absorbers. The Hudson Super Six was one of the fastest cars of it,s era and was a favourite for the American gangsters as a getaway car! 1929 was the last and best year of the famous Hudson Super Six and probably the most sought after. A quality car this Hudson would not be out of place at any vintage car rally and definately not hold up the traffic.
