This beautiful 1923 Hupmobile Model R Tourer has had a comprehensive restoration from the ground up! The paintwork, trim (including hood and side curtains), nickel, wheels and tyres and engine compartment are restored to concours standard, it runs and drives as it did when new, a photographic record of this amazing restoration accompanies this car. This car was sold new by the Pheonix Motor Company, 112 Pirie Street, Adelaide and spent most of its life in Cummins on the Lower Eyer Peninsula. The Model R Hupmobile has a 4 cylinder side valve 3 litre engine and a 3 speed centre change gearbox. This example is fitted with its original 24 inch Buffalo wire wheels, Simms magneto, and Liberty headlights. Options include, Boyce motometer, windscreen mounted spot lamp, luggage rack with traditional wicker basket, running board mounted Shell petrol tin, and a very rare "Fat Man" patented steering wheel, an original instruction manual and tools accompany the car. This rare Hupmobile has had an expensive high quality restoration to very original specification, a special opportunity.
