This great 1948 Morris 8/40 Series E 2 door Sedan has had a ground up restoration a few years ago. The paintwork, trim, chrome, wheels and tyres and engine compartment all present very well, it runs and drives as it should. Launched in 1938 the Series E Morris 8/40 was similar mechanically to the previous model but with radically altered front bodywork more in tune with the Art Deco style of the time. The Lucas bug eye headlights gave this model an appealing face.The 918cc side valve engine received a revised cylinder head that pushed the power way up to 29hp!. The gearbox was now a 4 speed, this improved the performance and cruising ability substantially. The Series E Morris 8/40 was replaced by the Morris Minor in 1948. This excellent little car has been well restored and offers fun classic motoring at a budget price!
