This 1937 Oldsmobile Ace Series 66 Sedan is in very good restored condition. The paint, trim, chrome, engine compartment and wheels and tyres are great, and with its original instruction manual, it runs quietly and drives beautifully. The Oldsmobile Ace was built between 1946-48 by Holdens in Australia, the bodies were built in Woodville SA and shipped to Fishermans Bend in Victoria, the chassis components were imported form America in CKD form (completely knocked down )and the assembly completed there. This was the last model built by Holdens before the introduction of Holdens own 48/215. The Oldsmobile Ace has a large 238cubic inch side valve 6 cylinder engine and a 3 speed column change gearbox and 4 wheel coil suspension giving an excellent ride, around 2500 were built.The Oldsmobile Ace was known as a strong and reliable performer, this is an excellent restored example.
