This rare 1956 Renault Fregate Sedan is a genuine "barn find", it was driven into the shed in 1971 and not touched since! has been in the same family since around 1960. The Renault Fregate is a medium/large sized sedan, it has a 2,200 cc ohv 4 cylinder engine and a 4 speed column change gearbox, it is rear wheel drive. This unusual car is complete, even has the original books and spare set of keys! After sitting for around 43 years add fuel and battery and it started right up! and the engine runs well, the clutch and gearbox seem good but due to lack of brakes this car cannot currently be driven! Obviously requires restoration, but it is all there and in quite good order.Probably only a handful of this model survive in Australia, this is certainly a worthy restoration project, you will probably never see another one!
