This lovely 1963 Sunbeam Alpine Series 3 Roadster is in excellent condition, the paintwork, trim ,chrome and engine compartment are immaculate, and it does not suffer from the rust problems associated with this model. This example is one of the rare Series 3 models (only 5863 were made) and very collectable. The Series 3 was the most refined of the tail fin Alpines. This car has been fitted with a later 1725cc 5 bearing engine with 2 Zenith WIA3 carburetors and all syncromesh 4 speed gearbox (similar to the Series 5 Alpine) with much improved performance (around 92bhp). The last owner has kept a substantial history file going back around 20 years, this accompanies the car, over the last few years the engine has had major work including a crank regrind, the clutch and brakes have been replaced, and the suspension has been rebuilt, etc etc, it runs and drives beautifully.
