Vauxhall 14-40 LM Tourer 1926

This beautiful 1926 Vauxhall 14/40 LM Sports Tourer has had a ground up comprehensive restoration by it's previous engineer owner. The engine has been totally rebuilt from the bottom end up with new conrods and pistons, the gearbox and differential have also been rebuilt as has all the suspension and brakes, the radiator core has been replaced with the (expensive!) original honeycomb type, the body has been completely remade to original specification with new timber and aluminium skin, the hood, side curtains and toneau cover have been remade in the original style, the upholstery is to a high standard in leather, the engine compartment is detailed to a high standard. This car has a very sporty vintage performance, it runs and drives beautifully. This lovely vintage car is still fitted with its original Lucas "Prince of Darkness" lights, Watford F04 Magneto, Jaeger instruments and CAV generator. The Vauxhall 14/40 LM Series has a 2297cc 4 cylinder engine with a removable cylinder head of Ricardi design, a 4 speed manual transmission and excellent 4 wheel brakes. This 14/40 is among the last of the cars produced by Vauxhall in their golden years before GM involvement in 1926, it has been comprehensively restored to a high standard and is "on the button", in my opinion a great investment.
