The chassis has been stripped and rebuilt, including springs, shock absorbers, king pins, shackles, wheel bearings and brakes, and beautifully painted, all 6 wire wheels have been rebuilt and the white wall tyres are all new. The engine has been gone thru from top to bottom, it runs beautifully, the the gearbox and differential have also been completely restored, the honeycomb radiator has been fully rebuilt(at a cost of around $6,000) and the rechromed, as have all the lights, all the wiring has been renewed, the dash and instruments have also been rebuilt. The body has been retimbered and repainted to a very high standard. The only work required to complete this restoration is the interior, the door locks, window winders, glass, floor boards, headlining and seats require restoration, all the original parts are there for patterns. The 20/60 was the first model built by Vauxhall after the General Motors takeover in 1927, it is a larger most imposing car. This is the Type T with a larger 2.9 liter ohv 6 cylinder engine, 4 speed centre change gearbox and excellent 4 wheel mechanical brakes (unusual for a Vauxhall!)A special opportunity to buy a rare car beautifully restored at well under the market value, it only requires a bit of work and upholstery to complete.
